2025 Camp Cards

What are Camp Cards?

Camp Cards are discount/freebie cards that you can use all over town at various restaurants and businesses. Each card costs $10. Half of the money from our sales go to the council, and the other half goes directly back to our pack (this is a much better cut than we get from popcorn). Highlights on this year’s card include one time deals of $5 off at Kroger, $10 off at Dick’s, Free large popcorn at Xscape Theatre, BOGO Blizzards, and a host of other unlimited use offers (Papa Johns, Biscuit Belly, Mark’s Feed Store, Hardee’s, Main Event, and more).

Why are we selling them?

We’re selling Camp Cards to raise money to offset costs of some of our upcoming events - Pinewood Derby upgrades, our spring campout, etc. Our big purchase this year is a brand new pinewood derby track which we’ll debut in a few weeks. While your dues offset the cost of a lot of the events we do (regatta boats, derby cars, holiday party, etc.), this fundraising helps to bring new scouting experiences and improvements your way through the year. We want to ensure that we have the equipment and supplies we need to make our den meetings, pack gatherings, campouts, and other significant events fun for our scouts.

Sell on your own!

The first and easiest way for scouts to sell camp cards is by asking folks they know to buy one. Friends, family, neighbors, and teammates are a great place to start your sale. You can get rolling by canvasing your neighborhood, tagging along with your parents to work, taking them to family gatherings, or anything else your parents or guardians are comfortable with. It’s an excellent way for scouts to build confidence by having conversations with adults in a safe environment and making a big ask to support a cause they care about! A crisp scout uniform and a smile go a long way toward making sales happen.

Sell together!

We’ve also put together what we call show and sell opportunities. We’ve booked weekends at the Plainview Kroger and the Cabela’s off Brownsboro road where our scouts can sign up for shifts to sell camp cards together. We post-up our scouts in uniform (and their parents) near the front door, have a large sign to draw attention, and then find opportunities to invite people to buy a card they can use (immediately in the case of their Kroger shopping). This is a great way to sell lots of cards quickly, build some memories with other scout friends, and work embodying the scout law by being courteous, kind, brave, and cheerful.

Weekend sales start on March 8th at Cabella’s and March 22nd at Kroger. Click the button below to sign up for either location.

Are there Prizes?

While our camp card sales are primarily to support our pack, scouts to have an opportunity to earn some prizes along the way! Each scout that sells 20 cards, gets to celebrate with a party (tentatively scheduled for April 19th, more details to come)! On top of that, each scout that sells 40 cards will receive a $25 Amazon gift card as a thank-you for all their hard work to support the pack. In addition to those prizes that anyone can win, we’ve got big prizes for our two highest selling scouts—a package of four tickets to Kentucky Kingdom for their upcoming season, and a fancy Candy Chrome Edition Halo scooter.

When Do We Start?

Right now! If you’ve got cards, you can start selling them immediately! Show and sell dates start soon as well, and you can register for as many of those shifts as you want. All camp card money and leftover cards will be due back to the pack at our April 9th den meetings so that we can make sure we know how many scouts have sold 20 cards to qualify for the big party on April 19th.
